Park rangers and volunteers have been busy at the Port Hills in Canterbury. These Eco Gards were installed about a year before the photo was taken, and they are doing well. Â

The Eco Gard Story
Until recently, all plant protectors and tree guards were made from plastic. The Eco Gard story started when a 12 year old girl named Julia noticed ​this and decided to do something about it.
